Dendrochronology Lab

The purpose of this lab is to identify the age of a tree by determining the number of rings it has. In this lab, we will also determine the climate of the given region from which the tree examples came. The first part of the lab was to count the tree rings and determine how thick each of the rings were. The second part of the lab was to find the historical data for the temperature and precipitation of both Macon, Georgia and Palm Springs, California

Dendrochronology is the process of dating a tree based on the rings of the tree.  So from counting the tree rings I have guessed that the Elm Tree is 35 years old and the Pine Tree is about 65.
